Retha Euthema Kornegay

Mrs. Retha Euthema Kornegay, age 87, passed away May 28, 2012 at her residence. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

Mrs. Kornegay was survived by her daughters, Marlene and Rodger Little of Wynnville and Karen and Joey Bailey of Susan Moore; grandchildren, Marla and Richy Dempsey, Sherri and Jeremy Kemp, Heath and Stacey Little, Matthew Morton, Ashley Morton, Amanda and Wesley Horton, Shannon Bailey, and Joe and Abbie Bailey; Great Grandchildren, Barrett Dempsey, Abbott Dempsey, Isaiah Kemp, Seth Wright, Lillie Kemp, Brayden Little, and twin boys on the way; God Grandson, Daniel Amason; brothers, Bumon Pruett of Walnut Grove, and Orvel and Frances Pruett of Attalla; and sister, Eloise Jimmerson of Oneonta.

Mrs. Kornegay is going home to meet her husband, Roscoe Kornegay; daughter, Joan Kornegay; parents, Venie Joe and Easter Lillie (Osborn) Pruett; and brother, Dean Pruett.

Brother Randy Smith and Brother Steve Bush will conduct the Funeral Service Thursday, May 31, 2012 at 2 P.M. from Bethel Baptist Church with Snead Funeral Home Directing. Mrs. Kornegay will Lie In State at Snead Funeral Home Wednesday from 5:30 P.M. until 8 P.M. and Thursday from 8:30 A.M. until 12(noon) and at Bethel Baptist Church for 1 P.M. until Funeral time. Interment will follow in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, where Mrs. Kornegay's oldest Great-Grandson will release Doves.

Pallbearers will be Wesley Horton, Richy Dempsey, Jeremy Kemp, Heath Little, Matthew Morton, and Joe Bailey.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Abbott Dempsey, Isaiah Kemp and Barrett Dempsey.
